I hope you all are having a good week and are enjoying the sunshine!

Firstly, to the gentleman who asked if I had the details of a vehicle seen speeding along New Inn Lane yesterday (22/06/26) - apologies I was concentrating on noting the vehicles details as quick as possible. The answer was yes and I was knocking on the vehicles owners door an hour later.

Important information on reporting incidents/Crimes

Please can I kindly ask that Crimes and Incidents are not reported through e-mails, voicemails or text messages but through one of the below Police contact options.

I am concerned that should I be committed with another incident, off duty, on leave or on unexpected leave, your message will not be read, and this can significantly delay a Police response.

If I am on holiday for example, it could be weeks before your e-mail/ text etc is read

Please be assured that I will see everything that is reported, but by reporting through the below channels, our response officers and other Neighbourhood officers are both made aware of your report too.

Reports are logged, recorded and you will be giving an incident number.

Police Street Surgeries

Please find at the bottom of the e-mail the dates, times and locations of upcoming Police Street surgeries. Over the last few days surgeries have been completed at Timor Gr, Jubilee Rd, Beatrice Cl and Carisbrooke Way.

Theft of Parcels - New Inn Ln

We have received a report that on 22/06/26 at approximately 10:55am two parcels were stolen from driveway of an address on New Inn Lane. The incident occurred between the two blue arrows on the map.

Criminal damage to motor vehicle – Meadow Ln

We have received a report that on 23/06/26 a motor vehicle was damaged whilst parked on Meadow Ln. The incident occurred between approximately 4am – 4:15am and three males who had use of moped are suspected to be connected to this incident. The incident occurred between the two blue arrows on the map.

Neighbourhood Watch – New zone launched

I am very happy to confirm that the new Neighbourhood Watch Zone that I applied for earlier in the week has been approved. The zone is quite large and I will now start making the welcome packs with a view of delivering them to every address within the new zone over the next couple of weeks.

School Parking update

Yesterday (23/06/26) our Road Crime Team attended the vicinity of Ash Green Academy in the morning and Priory CE Academy in the afternoon, where they were tasked with helping to address many of the concerns regarding school parking raised by residents.

Burrington Dr Patrols

Following my previous updates regarding underage drinking concerns in and around Burrington Dr. I have continued to carry out frequent patrols of the area and I am happy to report that I have come across no issues. I’ll be back there again later today.

Meadow Ln – Speeding concerns

Over the last couple of weeks I have been completing several patrols on the Meadow Ln estate, following the concerns of residents that vehicles are frequently seen speeding. If you do have any concerns over speeding, please do report this to the Police. Even if you do not have the vehicle details, it helps to establish where our speeding issues are, the key days, times etc.
